As if the last 2 minutes of NBA games weren’t already long enough.
Far be it for me to say anything negative about the NBA, I think David Stern is the finest….oh I just can’t do it. Evil little troll.

”No hard feelings, man. I don’t like you either.”
Now the NBA owners have agreed to expand the use of Instant Replay to include whether a field goal was 2 or 3 points or whether a foul occured inside or outside the arc so the proper number of free throws are alloted. They also approved the use of Replay for “clock malfunctions” to determine how much time should have come off during a given posession near the end of overtime quarters.
So now the ridiculous amount of timeouts and stopage of play during the end of tightly contested games will now include extra Joey Crawford trips to the press table monitor.

I understand that Replay is in place so we can verify that the calls on court are correct, but I also have a desire to watch a close game in less than 6 hours.
However, this will give the NBA more commerical time to devote to building veiwership for the WNBA. So thats a plus.
