Al Davis finally slammed his bony foot down on Tuesday morning and released Lane Kiffin from his head coaching duties.

“I’m firing that Tagliabue guy next…I haven’t seen him do anything for like two years.”

While some outlets are reporting that Kiffin was fired over the phone this morning our sources at PoL are telling me that Davis left a Post-it near the handle of Kiffin’s office door.  Preliminary reports have the note reading,

Lance, or whatever you name is,
Don’t bother trying you key, I had the lock changed.  Get out of my building.

Kiffin emerged from the complex about 9:30 am PT and said he was not concerned about finding his next job.

“Once you’ve actually worked for a guy like Mr. Davis, you could wind up as a guest on that Dirty Jobs show and not really be any worse off.  I’m so relieved.”
