Now’s Basketball’s Time To Shine!: A Super Bowl Recap
I thought about ‘live blogging’ the Super Bowl. I thought about sitting by a computer during the game and getting my at the moment thoughts out to all you people. Then I realized that would be a terrible idea and just decided to get so drunk that I am still a bit stumble-y right now.
But I would like to now try to convey to you how great last night was. Last was by the far the best football experience of my life. The euphoria experienced by me and all my close friends (that means everyone at the party except the one retard who decided it would be a good idea to bring his girlfriend with him who didn’t even care about football, who then proceeded to take the best seat in the house and sit and mope throughout the entire game. Man up! You tell that baby factory, like we all did to ours, that today is a day that is all about one thing: football. And if you’re not into it, then stay home and watch High Fidelity for the 100th time!) when Plaxico scored the go ahead TDĀ is something I’ve never had while watching football before. Or any sport for that matter. Watching those smug assholes have their entire season, all they had worked towards for an entire year come tumbling down like a sand castle built a little too close to the shore line was perfect. And the fact that this guy was the one to do it was even better. As you may recall, I have been a little harsh on Eli at times. But then again, you’ll also recall that I called this months ago. But just when I thought Eli couldn’t get any dumber, he goes and does this…and totally redeems himself! Eli, I salute you, you mongoloid looking little child.
By the way, I hope someone is sitting with Tiki Barber today to make sure he doesn’t do anything rash like cut his wrists for retiring one season before his Giants win the Super Bowl.
Wow. Wow! It still hasn’t really sunk in. The Patriots lost. THEY LOST! Boston fans won’t be able to gloat about this, Mercury Morris won’t fade into oblivion now, and losing my voice while screaming and hugging everyone at the party (except ‘ol mopey over on the middle of the couch) was totally worth it.
So now football is over, and baseball season is still months away. But the delicious taste of the Giants victory from last night will linger in my head for quite some time, and make this sports dead period go by a little bit quicker.
