4 Things On the Minds of Jayhawk Football Fans

1. “I would’ve been happy with 76 points from our basketball team”
Scoring that many point against anyone is impressive, but against a team that has bullied you on the gridiron for so many years is especially satisfying. Even better when it catapults you into the Top 5 and puts you in the driver’s seat for a BCS bowl bid.

2. “The 38-year plan is working to perfection”
Kansas lost a one-point squeaker to Penn State in the 1969 Orange Bowl. Since then, Jayhawk teams have been nursing New Years Day hangovers on January 1 rather than playing football. This could be the year that changes.

3. “Jim Tressel needs to eat a burger and fill out that sweater vest”
A little meat on his bones would make him a better coach. Magino and his not so svelte figure are putting coaches on notice, which might be dangerous in the copycat culture of college football. Next thing you know Pete Carroll and Les Miles will have cholestral thru the roof. All jokes aside (kind of), this Jayhawk offense is like an all you can eat buffet on a cruise ship: always open and full of dangerous options.

4. “Do we have any more at home like you?”
Fullback turned Tailback Brandon McAnderson is playing for his hometown team. The Lawrence, KS native has put up over 800 yards this season with 13 TDs. In all of his prior three seasons, the big man put up a grand total of 228 yards and 7 TDs.
